ICE SKATES NEEDED

Many people are looking for next sizes in children's skates.  Anybody have a great idea how to facilitate a swap or lending program at the library?
Just sayin'  ... there are libraries that do cake pans, fishing poles & tools   ... why not skates?
Maybe our Recycling Center volunteers could keep an eye out for us as well?

Please talk to Kristin or Gail at the Library if you can help.

Community Conversation

The Greenfield Planning Board and the Neighborhood Advisory Committee want the public to know that we’re having a meeting on Saturday, December 14th, 2013 at the Stephenson Memorial Library in the Wensburg Room from 9-11 a.m.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide the public with an opportunity to give input into a proposed Neighborhood Heritage District Ordinance for the village of Greenfield. In our vision statement work of 2012, the public urged that the community take steps to protect the village and its resources. To that end, the Planning Board and the Neighborhood Advisory Committee are proposing the creation of a Neighborhood Heritage District. This overlay district  is designed to preserve the character of the village and requires that certain activities of property owners be subject to review by the Planning Board. Copies of the proposed ordinance are available on the Town website in the Planning Board section or at the Town Offices.

On Saturday, the actual language of the proposed ordinance will be discussed by the public for the first time. Refreshments and child care will be provided. We hope you can attend. For further information, contact Bob Marshall at bmarshall11@myfairpoint.net or 547-3350.
