RECONSTRUCTION OF OLD BENNINGTON ROAD
The Greenfield DPW will begin grinding the paved section of Old Bennington Road starting on Monday, May 19th in advance of Road Reconstruction and Re-Paving later this summer.
The road will be closed except to local traffic for people on Old Bennington Road and those residents on Cavendar Road, River Bend Drive, and Colonial Drive.
As outlined at the May 14th Selectmen's Meeting, the road will remain a gravel road until July when paving is scheduled.
Please drive safely and be courteous to our DPW Crew and our contractors.

As per the Greenfield Zoning Ordinance, the Town Moderator will soon be filling vacancies on the Zoning Board of Adjustment. The Zoning Board is a town standing committee and board members serve staggered three-year terms and may be reappointed.

War on invasive plants
Francie Von Mertens of the Peterborough Con Com will be launching this year’s War on Invasive Plants at a Tuesday, May 13th, 9 a.m.-noon garlic mustard pull at The Well School/Peterborough where it has spread from road fill.
Come on by. Pull some garlic mustard and some brochures (both free).
UNH Cooperative is launching a statewide Garlic Mustard Challenge through a new Stewardship Network modeled after successful one in Mich where tons of garlic mustard is pulled. Info here:
Francie also has a presentation on garlic mustard she would be happy to put on anywhere / any time. She will be making one on invasive plants in general, focusing on the 13 local ones.
