SAVE OUR LAKES! Weedwatcher ID Training

The Greenfield Conservation Commission is hosting a
Weed Watcher Identification Training on
Sunday, July 27, 2014 at 2pm at
Greenfield’s Stephenson Memorial Library, Wensberg Room (downstairs back entrance).

Otter Lake in Greenfield has an established infestation of variable Milfoil, an invasive aquatic plant, and all lakes in town are at risk from this serious threat.  This is your chance to learn how to protect our lakes from this invasive species.  A state biologist will teach participants how to identify key aquatic invasive species, and how to help monitor local waterbodies for early detection. We encourage everyone to bring plants from your own lake that you would like identified and learn how to be weed watcher.
Free and open to the public.
